Born in Kingston Jamaica, Shantaé Byro’s parents moved to United States to provide a better education for her and her siblings. The move proved to be a difficult adjustment for Shantaé and her family struggled, however academically Shantaé never fell behind. She is an intelligent, capable and personable young woman. She is ranked in the top 10 % of her class and is the president of the National Honors Society. Shantaé desires to be a doctor or a lawyer. She participated in the “Rosie the Lawyer” series sponsored by Wright, Constable & Skeen where she is mentored by women lawyers in Baltimore City. She has been accepted to Salisbury University, Thiel College, Coppin State University and The University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
