Kenya is a member of the Career Research and Development Program where she has, “demonstrated leadership, reliability, and a determination to be successful,” as explained by her career coach. Dually enrolled at Woodstock Job Corps, Kenya will graduate with a high school diploma as well as a trade certificate as an Electronic System Technician. She is also an active member in her community, working to serve individuals who are less fortunate than her. She has volunteered at several homeless shelters and recreation centers throughout the city. Kenya hopes to attend UMES and major in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration.
