Shavaeona Brown

College Access Program Specialist

Shavaeona Brown, a proud Baltimorean, is a product of Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS). She completed her secondary education at Northwestern High School in the community of Park Heights. Ms. Brown continued her education at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland, receiving a Bachelor of Science in sociology with a minor in Women’s Studies. While in college, Shavaeona was a four year recipient of the CollegeBound Foundation’s Last Dollar Grant. She has held several positions within education, most recently as an administrative assistant in a BCPS elementary- middle school. As a part of the CBF team, Shavaeona will continue working with Baltimore students and positively impacting the lives of city youth. In addition, Ms. Brown plans to further her education in the field of school counseling, fulfilling her goal of assisting students through high school and beyond.
