Darius Jackson is originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. During his high school years, he participated in the Coe College Upward Bound Program. Darius holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri- Kansas City. He is the first person in his family to attend a four-year institution. While at the University of Missouri- Kansas City, he was able to connect with multiple student affairs professionals who significantly impacted his undergraduate experience. It was during this time that he developed a passion for inspiring other first-generation college students to pursue post-secondary education. Before joining the CollegeBound Foundation, Darius served as a Senior Coordinator of Diversity Programs and Recruitment at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Medicine, a 6- year (BA/MD) program, overseeing a pipeline program for middle school and high school students. Darius has work in college Darius served as an Adult Achiever for the YMCA of Greater- Kansas City Young Achievers program, where he received the Spirit of Service Award in 2015. Darius has a passion for working with a first-generation and underserved students, and helping them find the best college/career path. Darius looks forward to serving the Baltimore City Students.
